Life can take some unexpected turns. My start to enameling was one of those.

At first, it was enamel’s vibrant colors on metal that caught my attention. When I discovered cloisonné, I was immediately drawn to its graphic quality. For me, cloisonné is a technique through which I can draw with precious metal wires and paint with fire. I love the juxtapositions of colors and shapes - whether intentional or unintentional - that it can create in one confined space.

I hold a BA in Art History from Seoul National University in South Korea, and an MFA in printmaking from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia.

Before joining the Enamelist Gallery in 2026, I have shown my work at various art and craft shows, including, American Craft Council shows(Baltimore, MD and St.Paul, MN), Paradise City Arts Festivals(MA), Bruce Museum Crafts Festival(Greenwich, CT), Long’s Park Art Festival(Lancaster, PA), and Crafts at the Cathedral(Cathedral of St John the Divine, New York, NY).

I currently live in Arlington, VA, and cannot wait to see where the next adventure will take me.
