The Zara in Sunstone
Rainbow Lattice Sunstone is a mind boggling and unique gemstone. Sometimes it features parallel strands that glitter with iridescence in the light, and others, perfect little equilateral triangles. It's hard to believe that this is a naturally occurring gem! I created the Zara setting specifically to feature this gem, drawing upon a triangle art deco motif that echoes the wonderful little inclusions. In addition to this geometric confetti, the gem features schiller, a golden shimmer sometimes found in Sunstones. I've added sparkly mica to the black enamel to echo the glittery quality of the schiller in the gem. This ring is grounded and playful, and would be a wonderful talisman for those who aim to honor their own unique beauty.
